Post Pictures
1. You need to host your pictures on the web somewhere else. We like Photobucket, but we know there are lots of other free sites, too.
2.
You can post a picture in your post by writing [url] the website
address of your picture [/url].
There is also a nifty little button that looks like a picture above all the smilies that will insert the brackets for you.
Set Your Avatars and Signature Lines
AVATARS:
Avatars are set at 125x125 and should be static images (no animations).
Please no vendor or commercial logos for avatars.
Avatars can be set in your profile section.
- Go to PROFILE.
- Below Modify Profile in the left sidebar menu, click on FORUM PROFILE INFORMATION.
- You can either "I have my own pic" and input a URL or select "I will upload my own picture" and browse to the photo on your computer. Select it and upload it.
- Last step is to click in the CHANGE PROFILE button.
You may have noticed that some members here have cute cartoon/doll avatars of mums with babies in different types of baby carriers. You can make one of these for free using the Mamma's Milk doll maker.
SIGNATURE LINES:
Signature lines should be no more than 300 characters in length. This includes spaces, URL info, etc.
Some do's and don'ts to keep our forum easy to read:
- No pictures/images/blinkies
- Vendors are allowed one line to promote their website but please refrain from putting sales promotions and such.
- You may put your feedback at TBW or elsewhere, when appropriate
- Links to items you have listed in the FSOT forum(s)
- Links to eBay listings (Note: You may include a link to your eBay store if that is your primary place of business.)
- Content that could be seen as inflammatory to other members
- Content that violates the terms of use for michigannaturalparenting.com
To update or change your signature line:
- Go to PROFILE.
- Below Modify Profile in the left sidebar menu, click on FORUM PROFILE INFORMATION.
- Scroll down until you see a text box and the word SIGNATURE. Type what you'd like to show up in your signature.
- Last step is to click in the CHANGE PROFILE button.
Add Smilies to Your Signature Line
You'll have to "type" it in. You can go to the testing forum and in an
empty post, click on what smiley you'd like. You'll see the code in
your posting window. Copy the code and paste into your siggy... '

Add a Pin to the Google Member Map
Here's how it works...
Go to: http://www.michigannaturalparenting.com/community/index.php?action=googlemap
Below the map you will see: Click here to go place your pin if you have not already.
Click
on it and you will be taken to a map in your profile. You can zoom in
and move the map around to put your pin as general or as specific as
you want it near where you live. (If you really zoom in on my pin, it
is actually on the road that I live on. )
Once you are done, save. Your pin is now on the map.
For those with smaller screens (800x600), click on the dash up to the right of the menu up top. It will shrink your left column to nothing.
